Our Pathfinder Manifesto
We believe some people play a vital role in connecting people, ideas, and resources. These individuals use their intuition, insight, and curiosity to forge pathways to value—even when the outcomes aren’t immediately clear. We call these people Pathfinders. If you are a Pathfinder, we want to make three commitments to you.
Our Three Commitments to Pathfinders
-
Recognition
We celebrate the unique contributions of Pathfinders to identify potential in places others might overlook. By recognising the contributions of Pathfinders, we affirm your importance in driving innovation and creating opportunities. -
Reward
Pathfinders are crucial to society and our economy. But often they are not rewarded for their contributions. We aim to ensure that Pathfinders are fairly compensated for the value you create. However, we also realise that not all Pathfinders will want—or be able—to accept rewards. We offer the option to:-
Donate your reward to a charitable cause of your choice.
-
Contribute the reward into a discretionary fund to increase the rewards of other Pathfinders.
-
-
Guidance
We provide resources and mentorship to help Pathfinders enhance your skills and broaden your reach. Through tailored support, we empower you to become even more effective at making transformational connections, and to maximise the probability you will be a part of a successful pathway.
Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to safeguarding the trust of our Pathfinders. The data you provide will only be used for the purposes of the campaign and will only be shared with the campaign sponsor. Your privacy and the security of your information are paramount, and we operate with full transparency in how your data is handled.
The Value of Pathfinding
Pathfinders excel in recognising connections that might seem tangential or unrelated but have the potential to lead to transformational outcomes. Some act on instinct, bringing together ideas, people, and resources across domains, while others may make an explicit plan to identify pathways.
Non-Experts and New Opportunities
Non-specialist Pathfinders often uncover opportunities by exploring unconventional connections. Like climbers navigating a vast landscape, you bypass nearby peaks (local optima) to discover higher summits (global optima) that others may overlook. Your cross-domain approach opens new seams of opportunity.
The Betweenness Function
In network theory, Pathfinders hold high “betweenness centrality,” acting as critical links between otherwise unconnected groups. By facilitating the flow of information and resources, you are catalysts for collaboration and innovation.
Through recognition, flexible reward options, and expert guidance, we empower Pathfinders to make impactful connections that drive innovation and unlock new opportunities. Together, we build a more connected, collaborative future.
