Walkabouts
Walkabout - the open air accelerator.
Monthly, free, local, international.
It began with a conversation in spring 2023. Changing working patterns since the pandemic mean most of us spend less time with other people. We wondered how to help as many people as possible to have a monthly opportunity to meet up. So we started organising Walkabouts…

How to get involved
In London?
We meet at 5pm every fourth Tuesday of the month (except December) at the statue of the Goddess Diana by Green Park Tube Station. And new for 2025, we meet at 8am every second Tuesday of the month at Number 1 London, in Hyde Park for the first morning Walkabout
Come and join us. Bring a #plusone or #plusseveral!

Not in London?
Find a Walkabout near you
We currently organise Walkabouts in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Exeter, St Albans, Winchester, and many more.
To find a Walkabout near you, check our map and then head to our Eventbrite page where you can sign up. Also, join our “Walkabout – Worldwide” LinkedIn Group to join the conversation. Each Walkabout also has an active WhatsApp group.
Everyone is welcome at Walkabouts and we encourage you to bring a “plus one” – or several.
We typically walk gently for an hour and then head to a bar or pub for those that want to carry on their conversations.
Become a Walkabout host
In case you don’t live or work near one of the existing Walkabouts, we can help you set up a Walkabout in your own neighbourhood.
The commitment is small – just posting details of each month’s Walkabout and providing contact details for people to sign up and find you on the day.
Hosting a Walkabout makes a real contribution to your neighbourhood and community, and it’s easy to get started, so don’t hesitate – contact us today and we’ll help you get going.
Sponsors
B13
B13 helps non-technical innovators build software with confidence bringing clarity to complex ideas and turning them into scalable, market-ready products.
Meanwhile we’ve seen more and more Walkabouter entrepreneurs and intrepreneurs exploring how technology can transform their industry with several startups already established.
So we were delighted when longtime Walkabouter and B13’s founder Tom Haworth and his team offered to help Walkabouters with advice, Venture Mapping and Software Product Development.
Walkabouters and Amitypathers can apply to join our Tech Transformation group here.
You Could Be Next...
Walkabouts bring together curious, well-connected people from across disciplines – entrepreneurs, researchers, creatives, funders, technologists, and decision-makers – for monthly walks where ideas flow and new collaborations begin.
As a sponsor, you gain more than visibility. You gain access: to trusted relationships, vibrant interest groups, and conversations that often lead to real commercial and social impact.
Sponsorship opens doors to specialist groups across sectors – from AI and healthtech to creative industries and public services. It’s a smart move for professionals in law, accounting, finance, investment, design, and beyond who want to meet future clients, collaborators, and thought leaders outside traditional channels.
Support something meaningful – and be part of where the future starts walking.
Collaborations
Heropreneurs
We welcome Heropreneurs mentors, mentees and friends at Walkabouts. For people making their way into private sector roles, perhaps for the first time, Walkabouts are a great opportunity to meet a wide variety of people in your local community – and for mentors and mentees to catch up in person.
GTA Future of Work
We’re delighted to have teamed up with Global Tech Advocates Future of Work. GTA Future of Work have been highlighting best practices for employers and employees since 2021, enabling them to thrive as working patterns change.
GTA FoW co-founder Zoltan Vass is a regular at the London Walkabout and hosts the St Albans Walkabout.
Air Aware Labs
We are delighted to partner with Air Aware Labs, who provide personalised health insights from air pollution data. Louise Thomas, CEO, is a regular at our Green Park walks and we use their product Air Track to understand our air pollution exposure during our walks.
